| THOMAS R. TOUGH, B.Sc., P.Eng. Director, Chairman of the Board Mr. Tough joined the board of Maxtech in 2003 and since then has served as President and CEO. He has more than 40 years experience as a self-employed consulting Professional Engineer in 40 different countries, in both the western and eastern hemispheres. In the course of his career he has been involved in property examinations, qualifying reports, evaluations, project acquisitions and negotiations, mine evaluation, underground and surface exploration, reserve and resource estimations, mine and mill planning and processing, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, development and production, open pit and underground, as operator, project manager, and consultant on precious and base metals, industrial minerals, gemstones and oil and gas. He has negotiated corporate financings and joint venture partnerships and dealt with various levels of domestic and foreign government bodies. He has held numerous directorships and officer positions in public and private companies, including the role of President, CEO and Director of Desert Sun Mining Corp. for 18 years. In April 2006, Yamana Gold Inc. purchased the Company and its producing gold mine in Brazil. In 2003 Mr. Tough also joined the boards of TSX listed Potash One Inc and TSX.V listed Desert Gold Ventures Inc. He is past President and CEO of Potash One Inc., and continues to serve as a director. Since 2008 he has served on the board of Aroway Minerals Inc. and in 2010 he became President, CEO and a director of Firebird Resources Inc., both listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. In 2009 he became the President, CEO and a director of CLI Resources Inc., a CNSX listed company. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of British Columbia. | |
| CURT HUBER Director, President Mr. Huber joined the board of Maxtech in 2012. Mr. Huber is an independent corporate and financial consultant. He has been involved in all facets of public companies for more than 25 years. He is an experienced director and senior officer who has represented public companies in many different sectors: mining, oil and gas, and technology. In addition, he has provided investor relation services, raised financing in the public markets and built corporate awareness for the companies with which he has been associated. | |
| AYUB KHAN Director, CEO Mr. Khan joined the board of Maxtech in 2010. He is an entrepreneur and financier, having previously held the position of Senior VP CIBC and Credit Agricole, Switzerland. He focuses on providing venture capital to small and medium size companies through his private investment firm Optima Asset Management SA., a Swiss regulated entity. He is also Chairman of the board of Desert Gold Ventures Inc., a TSX.V (DAU) listed junior mining company. His global investment network and in-depth knowledge of the early stage investment and management needs of venture issuers will be an asset to Maxtech's board as the Company moves forward. | |
| SONNY JANDA Director Mr. Janda joined the board of Maxtech in 2010. He is the President & CEO of Grand Peak Capital Corp., a TSX.V (GPK) listed company that invests in public and private corporations. He also serves on the board of Desert Gold Ventures Inc. (TSX.V:DAU), Lucky Minerals Inc (TSX.V:LJ) and on the boards of two CNSX listed companies, Arris Holdings Inc., and Easymed Services Inc. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC. | |
| RANA VIG Director Mr. Vig is an entrepreneur with 28 years of business experience. During this time, he has helped launch five business ventures in private industry. He was also the President of Musgrove Minerals Corp (MGS), a junior mining exploration company. Beyond private enterprise, he is a former chair of the Open Learning Agency, an active investor, and has and continues to serve on several public company boards and committees - ME Resources (MEC); Cielo Gold (CMC); AAN Ventures Inc. (ANN); Arris Holdings (AAF); Orofino Minerals Inc. (ORR); Chimata Gold Corp. (CAT). He is also active in numerous charitable and community organizations acting as chair, director and advisor for many. | |
| THOMAS KENNEDY Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary Mr. Kennedy brings over 20 years of experience as a director and officer of various public companies. He currently is a director and/or officer of several publicly listed companies providing legal, management and financial services. | |
| LARRY TSANG, C.A. CFO Mr. Tsang was appointed CFO of Maxtech in April 2011. He is a Chartered Accountant in Canada and, in addition, he holds a CPA designation in the United States. Mr. Tsang was a senior accountant with Ernst and Young for four years and has ten years of Canadian accounting experience. Mr. Tsang was also the Acting Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Link Mining Corp. from November 2010 to June 2011, a Vancouver based public company whose shares trade on the NEX board of the TSX Venture Exchange. |
