Overview
The Guercheville Property is located in the Guercheville township in the Abitibi region of western Quebec, approximately 45 km to the south-west of the town of Chapais. The project consists of 25 mining claims totalling 3,391 acres in size and should be directly accessible by logging road from provincial highway 113.
Previous Work
Only limited historical work has been performed on the property. Some prospecting, and ground geophysical work has been performed by various claim holders, but only one drill hole has been drilled to date on the current claim block. Previous ground work on the property identified intensely sheared basalts, andesites, gabbros, intermediate tuffs and lappilli and bloc felsic tuffs. In addition, a brecciated structure was identified near the center of one of the claim blocks. Chlorite, sericite and carbonate alteration is abundant as well as quartz-sulfide-carbonate-tourmaline veins.
